Hubert T. Lacroix is the President and Chief Executive Officer of CBC/Radio-Canada.

He began his mandate on January 2, 2008 and has been appointed for a five-year term. Prior to joining CBC/Radio-Canada, Mr. Lacroix held the position of Senior Advisor with the law firm Stikeman Elliott LLP (Montréal office). From May 2003 to December 2005, he also acted as Senior Advisor to Telemedia Ventures Inc., a private holding company operating mainly in the technology, transportation and real estate sectors. From February 1, 2000 to May 2, 2003, he was Executive Chairman for Telemedia Corporation and the other companies in the Telemedia group. Prior to that, he was a partner with the law firm McCarthy Tétrault LLP (Montréal office) for more than 20 years.

He was previously President of Bombardier, Business Aircraft, from July 2006 to July 2008. From July 2005 to July 2006, he was Executive Vice President, Tissue and Containerboard at Kruger Inc., and, from October 2001 to July 2005, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Sugar Income Fund. Prior to that, from September 2000 to September 2001, Mr. Côté was Senior Vice President, International Operations and Energy at Abitibi Consolidated Inc., and Vice President of US Operations for Donohue Inc. from September 1999 to August 2000.

In the last 30 years, he has been the president of various divisions and CEO of several consumer and industrial companies, including Labatt Breweries of Canada and Domtar. He has also served on the boards of numerous public companies in Canada and the United States.
